2024 World Day for Safety and Health at Work
26 April 2024
The annual World Day for Safety and Health at Work, celebrated on April 28th, prompts reflection on the theme “The Impact of Climate Change on Occupational Safety and Health.” The significant impacts of climate change are not limited to environmental issues but also include the safety and well-being of our employees.
As global temperatures rise, we observe profound changes in extreme weather patterns, a steady rise in sea levels, and increased occupational safety and health risks. Climate change brings a range of challenges to the workplace, from natural disasters to the spread of vector-borne diseases, heat stress, and air pollution.
At AMOS Group, we are committed to developing a culture of resilience in safety and health while addressing these risks. Our approach includes prioritizing employee well-being amid climate-related challenges by implementing proactive strategies, leveraging innovative technologies, and promoting comprehensive education initiatives.
Recently, AMOS organized a group-wide “Work Safely and Hydrate Regularly!” campaign. The purpose of the event is to promote hydration to combat heat stress associated with rising global temperatures. It has received a positive response and praise from the majority of employees.
We will continue to improve the safety standardization system, standardize safe production behaviors, improve occupational health and safety capabilities, and strive to create a sustainable, safe, and healthy working environment. The company and all employees will work together to do their best to reduce the adverse effects on climate and environment and create a healthier planet for future generations.
