AMOS Group and TLPT Johor Port Collaborate on 2024 Mangrove Planting Initiative
29 August 2024
AMOS Group is pleased to announce its partnership with TLPT and the launch of the Mangrove Planting Program 2024, a key coastal restoration and environmental management initiative. On 24 Aug, 2024, AMOS Group, together with several ESG-focused companies, including TLPT Johor Port, EcoCeres, MSM, and Technip FMC, planted 1,000 mangrove seedlings along the coastline, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
Mangroves provide important ecological benefits, such as protecting coastlines from erosion, offering habitats for marine life, and sequestering CO2. This planting program is a key component of Malaysia’s Environmental Strategy 2024 and is strongly supported and sponsored by Affin Bank, Pasir Gudang Municipal Council, and the Forestry Department of Johor State's Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability. The program involves active participation from all partner companies, their employees, local communities, and environmental organizations to combat coastal degradation and enhance ecological resilience.
This initiative is part of AMOS Group’s broader ESG efforts to improve the environment and integrate sustainable practices into its operations, contributing to environmental and climate goals.
